About this house rental
Our open air villa apartment in the small village of Troncones, Mexico offers access to a large salt water pool, maid service every second day (except Sun.), the beach, yoga retreat next door and many great, small family restaurants close by. Completely relaxing experience!
Polished Mexican sandstone walls and counters, eco-friendly, sustainable hardwood throughout, vaulted ceilings, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, loft in second bedroom, sleeps 5.
Las Villas on Troncones Beach is a newer boutique complex on the beach. The Villas are well equipped with full kitchen, stainless appliances, all linens, kitchen/dining utensils, ceiling fans and ac in the bedrooms.
There is a massive salt water infinity pool with lounge chairs for the sun and shade too. It's a zero entry pool so it's safe for toddlers and children. The pool looks out over the beach at the ocean. It has the standard infinity depth of a chest deep pool and a large deeper section of 8' for safe diving.
There are surf lessons, horse back rides, kayaking, eco tours, massages and a long list of other fun stuff.
Las Villas has a large yoga platform on the beach that has shade and privacy.
You can cook your own meals, have your meals prepared for you and/or enjoy the many great restaurants within walking distance.
The location is ideal. It's a short walk to the center of Troncones. The beach is great for swimming, surfing, fishing and simply sun bathing.
You can choose to either be totally secluded from or socialize with other guests.

Troncones is a small community at the end of a paved road 3 km off Highway 200. Just 25 minutes north of Zihuatanejo Mexico which has a small and charming international airport. Troncones has a few small tienda’s (shops), beachfront restaurants, small hotels, B&B’s, and a variety of retreats from surfing to yoga. For surfing, there is a fantastic left point at Manzanillo Bay 3 km north of the town center. Saladita (10 km north) and The Ranch (20 km north) make Troncones a year round surfing destination. The coast is also known for some of the best Mexican sport fishing in Mexico with world class Marlin and Sailfish.
Troncones beach also enjoys hillsides stretching down to the ocean and large scenic mountain ranges in the distance making for an aesthetic landscape.

Spend the day splashing around and/or boogie boarding. Take long walks, runs, or horseback rides on our crowd-free beach. Or just relax in the hammock, read, and recharge your batteries.
There's an advanced beach break within view, and many other great surf breaks are just a short drive away, including La Saladita, aka “the wave machine” (a great spot for beginners and long boarders).
A nearby boutique resort, Present Moment, offers daily yoga, meditation, and qi gong classes (as well as gourmet food). Local surf schools and ecotour companies provide additional entertainment and exercise. Surfboards, stand-up paddle boards, and bikes can all be rented nearby.

Nearby Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo serve up a ton of more urban entertainment—shopping, nightclubs, movie theatres, amusement parks, and even miniature golf and two full golf courses.

This was our second time vacationing in Troncones and the first time staying at Villas Troncones. The accommodations were excellent! The 2bed/2bath w loft was spacious and well furnished with comfortable beds, great air conditioners and fully appointed kitchen. The 10-unit Villas are exceptionally well maintained and the property management and staff were very kind, responsive and professional. The location is fantastic! steps to the beach and within walking distance of many of the best restaurants in Troncones and if you need a taxi, the taxi station is 300 meters from the front door. We had a little mix up with the security gate code, but our host, David, quickly resolved the issue. We definitely plan on booking the Villas for our vacation in 2025.

As always our stay at Las Villas was wonderful. It feels like home every time we're there. I'd recommend this place for anyone to stay. We believe that Las Villas still has the best pool in Troncones/Majaua area.

A quiet hideaway (no sign on gate) close to Present Moment Yoga retreat and La Mexicana restaurant (with excellent music). Taxi service just down the street. This 2nd floor suite itself was toward the back of the complex, which was fine. Pool was a life-saver. A good base to explore Troncones.
