About this bed and breakfast
Our lodge is located in the mountains of Happy Valley on 14 acres of forest land. You will not be disappointed with your stay here. We are only 35 minutes from State College, home of the Nittany Lions! Visit the Arboratorium, the Penn State Creamery, snow tube/ski down Tussey Mountain, hike Mt. Nittany, visit Penns Cave and Wildlife Park, watch an event at the Bryce Jordan Center, cheer on the Nittany Lions in Beaver Stadium!!! So many things to do and see. For the outdoor enthusiast we are home to local snake hunts, prime Elk viewing, the largest coyote hunt in the state and legendary trout fishing adventures. Relax in our 4 bedroom 2.5 bath lodge that will accommodate all your guests.

We always love staying at Bucktail when we come up to visit family. The dining room is perfect for Board Game Nights! We make dinners also, just remember while planning that there is not a full stove/oven. There is a hot plate and a large toaster oven (it broils and bakes) that get the job done. Beds are comfy as well and the area is quiet and pretty.

The property was great. The home is well maintained, clean and exactly as described. Our only hesitation was that there was no oven/stove, but there was a grill outside that worked as well as a microwave and toaster oven in the house. The kitchen had everything we needed in terms of pots, pans, plates etc. The property was very nice and also well maintained. Rachel was great about getting back to me regarding questions we had leading up to our trip.

We had a wonderful time, everyone commented on how cozy and comfortable the house was and the beds were so comfy. My daughter wanted to know where you got the mattresses from because she was in heaven. Check in was so easy and Brothers pizza was amazing. The only thing I would add is more mirrors, and a shade for the skylight in the loft. But everything was amazing. Plenty of towels and linens.
