In the heart of Strasbourg's pedestrian city center, 3 minutes from Strasbourg Cathedral, the Marceau apartment is perfect for a family stay or a trip with friends. Fully equipped and renovated in 2015, you will be charmed by its atmosphere and conviviality.
It consists of:
a living room/dining room with a double sofa bed
an open fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator/freezer, stovetop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, and toaster)
two bedrooms with two single beds each
a bathroom with bathtub
separate toilets
The apartment is on the 3rd floor with an elevator, nevertheless, it is necessary to first climb a staircase of 20 steps.
The Grandes Arcades street being pedestrian, you can access by car at the bottom of the building only at certain times (from 6am to 11am in the morning). But the public parking lot "Gutenberg" (open 24/24) is located near (50m) from the apartment.
The entire accommodation will be yours. Always in the spirit of satisfying you best during your stay:
cleaning will be done,
beds will be made with clean sheets, and a sofa bed kit will be available,
clean towels will be at your disposal as well as a bath mat and a kitchen towel,
free WIFI connection
This historic neighborhood has many local shops.
The apartment has a baby bed and a high chair (These equipments are designed for children weighing no more than 15kg and under 3 years old). Remember to bring bedding for the baby bed, the mattress dimension is 60x120cm or reserve the "baby bed linen" option as an extra.
Do you want to sleep in a double bed? Once the booking is made, you can reserve a "double bed" option for 30€ per double bed, so that the 2 single beds become a double bed, with a double mattress topper and a double duvet.
House Rules:
This accommodation is non-smoking. The use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, hookahs, and any other smoking devices is prohibited.
Smoking or using a smoking device will result in a penalty of €250 in additional cleaning fees.
Animals are accepted upon request (animals under 15kg and non-dangerous) with a supplement of 30€ per stay per animal. It is requested that animals be kept on a leash outside the accommodation.
Bed and toilet linen as well as the standard final cleaning at the end of the stay are included in the price. This includes changing the bed linen, a general cleaning of the apartment and sanitary facilities.
However, it is up to you to clean and put away the dishes, take out the trash, empty the refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and tidy up inside the apartment. If you do not wish to do this, you can order a so-called "complete cleaning" supplement for the apartment for 30€ before your arrival. In the absence of prior reservation of this option, and in case of non-compliance with these instructions, penalties of 60€ for cleaning fees will be charged to you.
For any stay of a minimum of 8 nights, a complete cleaning, during the stay, with changing of household linen is included in the rate, with the exception of the equipped kitchen and dishes. The desired day of the cleaning company's visit (excluding Sundays and public holidays) must be specified to us by email before your arrival, and will be confirmed subject to availability. If you do not want this service, it can be canceled but will not be refunded.
For stays of 7 nights or less, it is possible to book a "mid-stay cleaning" option before the stay, always excluding the equipped kitchen and dishes with an additional charge, upon prior reservation.
A digital contract signature and your ID will be requested after booking through the Yaago platform, as well as the information for the police report, in accordance with current regulations. If the identity of the persons present during the stay does not match that of the reservation, we reserve the right to deny you access to the accommodation.

Strasbourg is beautiful and this apartment was surprisingly roomy and couldn’t be in a more perfect location. We stayed here with my 73yr old mother and she had to take the first set of stairs slowly but it wasn’t too bad as we could carry her luggage and there is an elevator on the 2nd level. Also we were locked out (forgot our keys) the first night and couldn’t contact the owner. Literally had to go get a cheap hotel that night!! The wrong after hours contact # was listed on the main contact page and it took awhile to contact the manager. So keep your keys with you as the keypads dont work after hours!! Otherwise our stay was comfortable. This was in a great central location near restaurants & shops, and we could easily return for a rest and to escape the heat in the afternoon. It was really hot while we were there and there is an air conditioner unit & fans which was nice. However one of the bedroom windows was stuck closed and we all ended up sleeping on the floor in the main room as it was too hot in that room one of the nights. We were able to contact the manager again to open it for us the next day. The kitchen was well stocked and the linens & bathroom was clean. The washer was difficult to figure out and again the manager had to come fix a fuse or something. Overall a few inconveniences but I would recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again. Just be persistent in messaging/calling the manager if you need anything!!!

Overall, I would not recommend this apartment but there were a a few positive points:
1. The apartment was very clean
2. The beds were reasonably comfortable
3. It is close to the cathedral and many other tourist sites
On the other hand:
1. Communication was very poor. We had arranged a late check in and followed the instructions to a T, but were unable to access the apartment key for over an hour after we arrived. Also, we requested a late check out but did not receive a response until a full hour after check out time. (Our request was denied.)
2. The street-facing bedroom is extremely noisy, especially at night through the early morning hours.
3. The kitchen is poorly equipped. The drawers and cabinets are crammed with surplus utensils and miscellaneous equipment, but basic items, such as cutting knives, were completely missing. The off-brand coffee machine barely functioned and we were unable to find pods to fit it.
