Family home overlooking Felpham seafront

Thank you for a very comfortable stay. The house was well prepared for our visit and clean and tidy. There is plenty of space and ample reception rooms for a sociable and comfortable break with friends and family. Sea views were something special. Location on the outskirts of Bognor Regis town centre with plenty of eateries and shops. Roomy off road parking. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Thank you!

Had a lovely sunny week with family staying at Fisherman’s Cottage with six adults, a toddler and a baby. The beautiful property is very spacious with a huge garden and is right by the sea. Beds were very comfortable. Ground floor bedroom very convenient for people with mobility issues. Could do with a high comfortable armchair in living room as all the seating was low and soft. Would have preferred dining chairs instead of benches in dining area. Garden chairs and table provided although a parasol could be useful to provide some shade. Look forward to hopefully returning soon.

When we arrived at Fisherman's Cottage we were taken aback by the sheer size of the place. We were only 4 people so it was way bigger than we needed but this place can easily accommodate the 9 persons maximum for sleeping. 4 bedrooms, 3 lounges, 3 bathrooms/toilets, massive kitchen plus additional utility room. The ground level double bedroom and adjacent shower/toilet make this a great place if someone in your group has limited mobility. Dishwasher/washing machine/tumble drier available for use. 2 fridge freezers and a gas stove/double oven for cooking. Free WiFi available that was fast and reliable - great for us visiting from abroad as no local data packages:). The location is great although not what we would consider direct beach access. The Felpham/Bognor Regis promenade runs right at the back of the house. It can be accessed by a (broken) garden gate but more realistically you have to come out the front door and walk around the side of the house. The beach is right in front of the promenade. Unfortunately the weather wasn't suitable for swimming during our stay but I imagine it would be great in the height of summer. There is also a Morrison's store about 5 minutes from the cottage. The staff there were very friendly and the shop had most of what we needed for simple meals/cooking and snacks. The cottage was generally very clean except for the kitchenware. We had to run the dishwasher with a full load of plates, cutlery etc. when we first arrived to get it clean enough to use. The cottage was also very comfortable with an abundance of everything we needed. However, some of the windows wouldn't close fully so there were drafts throughout the house - just about manageable in June but not sure about colder months. As well as central heating there were heaters scattered around the property for use. The correspondence with Henry Adams could have been better. During the booking process the communication was at times very basic and not very professional but we got there in the end. After booking, the directions to the property were long-winded so we requested a Google Maps link - a lot more straightforward:). Unfortunately the first link was to the wrong property which we noticed as it was on the wrong side of the road so we had to re-request the link. The rest of the check-in instructions were OK but the info sheet was very basic. We had to ask for instructions on what to do with recyclable materials as none were given. Despite some of the organisational issues and drafty windows we had a lovely stay and would book again if visiting the area. Outside of July/August when the price increases considerably we would say this cottage is excellent value for money.

The location was great! However the house need TLC. The heating didn’t work and there were flies in one of the rooms. Would have appreciated information on the men coming to the house to fix the boiler and the garden as i was with other ladies and children. Apart from that the stay was nice.
