Apple Barn Cottage is a beautiful, two-bedroom property which has been completely renovated, and is contemporary in design and tastefully furnished throughout. The property is tucked away off the quaint and historic Knick Knack Lane in Brixham, set within walking distance of the town centre and the harbour. The perfect retreat for couples or a family of four.
The property is set over two levels, with the galley kitchen, cloakroom, living room and one of the bedrooms on the ground floor; This bedroom has a set of twin beds. The second bedroom, which has a kingsize bed, is on the first floor next to the main bathroom. The south-facing living room opens out onto a private, enclosed patio and turfed seating area with table and chairs.
Brixham is a lovely seaside town and is still one of the busiest working fishing harbours in the area. The harbour is full of little fishing boats and trawlers, and some of the best fish and chips can be enjoyed here. The town offers all the usual tourist shops along with many restaurants and coffee shops, and has a regular bus service which will be able to take you into Goodrington, Paignton and Torquay without having to use your car.
There is so much here for all the family to enjoy, including the water park at Goodrington and Paignton Zoo. There are also many other quieter days out such as Greenway Mansion, the home of Agatha Christie, or taking the steam train up to Buckfastleigh. There is a car and passenger ferry from Kingswear to Dartmouth, 1 mile away. Sailing, golf, fishing, horse riding and more can all be found in this wonderful part of Devon.

The cottage is well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean. The owners have obviously taken a lot of thought and care in making a holiday home for their guests, it felt like home from home. The photos really don’t do it justice. Nice view from window across hill towards Berry Head. Good location, short walk from harbour and Berry Head. Good to have a parking space and a garden and patio for our dog. Communication with owners was good and they contacted to check all was ok on our arrival day, a nice touch as there was Storm Darragh. Would recommend and book again.

What we liked about the Apple Barn Cottage:
- Welcoming touches by owners.
- Neighbours friendly/helpful.
- Well appointed kitchen and main bathroom, with plenty of useful consumables (which we replenished as we went).
- Property not directly overlooked.
- Plenty of heating for a winter stay.
What we disliked:
- Vehicle access to/from adjacent parking space requires care and some practise!
- Noisy central heating system in main bedroom - no problem during the summer!

Spotless, warm, cosy cottage in excellent location for all Brixham has to offer including harbour, beach, shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, bus stops.
The beautiful cottage was light & airy with enclosed, safe garden ideal for pets & children. Comfy beds & well equipped kitchen. Own parking space. Couldn't fault it. We had a lovely break.
