About this house rental
This is a two bedroom two full bath pet friendly home with a nice open floor plan. The yard is enclosed by a high fence making it nice and private and a perfect place for your furry friend to roam.
Beautiful sunsets, whale watching and fabulous coastal views is what awaits you at "That View".
Whether you're having your morning coffee in the sun drenched solarium, or sipping evening wine on the deck, the views from this home are guaranteed to sooth your soul. This home is directly across the road from Moonstone Beach which is a 10 minute walk away. There you can stroll on the boardwalk, beach comb or stop in one of the fine restaurants for a cocktail or a bite to eat. A five minute walk gets you down to the west village where you'll find many delightful boutiques and yummy eats.
From this house you are also able to see the estuary near the park and if you're lucky enough to come over 4th of July, you'll have a great view of the fireworks show.
When you're ready to venture out and explore the beautiful Central Coast you will have many options close by. Hearst Castle and Hearst Winery, perched above the San Simeon Cove, are a short drive up the coast, and the famed Paso Robles wine country is a quick drive east. Charming San Luis Obispo is a 45-minute drive south and the Big Sur Coast is at your doorstep heading north. Cambria is the perfect starting off point for countless adventures.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is conveniently located near Cambria's Main Street. It's on a hill, giving you the feeling that you're in the pines, and is overlooking the south end of Moonstone Beach. The beds are extremely comfortable! The kitchen worked well for us.The master bedroom and bath, living area, kitchen, screened sunroom, and views are on the upper level. There is a small bedroom downstairs, laundry, and a very small serviceable bathroom. The house may be entered, from the garage, through the downstairs bedroom, and up a flight of stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, you may walk around the side of the house up a paved steep path and enter through the front door. The master bedroom and bath are on this level. There are 4 stairs with a handrail to the kitchen, living, sunroom area.The yard worked well for our dog. It was a wonderful vacation home!

Stayed there mid-september 2025. It's been updated since the pictures were taken and it much better-- New TVs, granite countertops, etc.It's in a great location and easy to access.Some of the reviews complained about stairs. If you access the house from the left and into the back yard, there are no stairs. Other reviews complained about musty smells. That's gone if it existed. Also they provide a box fan to cool down if needed.

Difficult to get in from parking area. Steps and slanted. Steps inside very steep to washing machine. Steps were slipper from living room to bedroom. Dog walking on streets was challenging due to traffic. Toilet paper was difficult to retrieve, toilet seat loose. I’m not nit picking, we rated this at the bottom of the rentals we have had, not only in Cambria but half dozen other towns. Sixth location in Cambria was very disappointing. They do have a good view from one corner of the living room.
