About this cottage rental
Lavender Barn East is one of two adjoining cottages. The cottages are purpose built in Cotswold stone. They are well furnished and comfortable.
(The two cottages can be rented together and the interconnecting door can be opened to provide a property suitable for up to 8 guests.)
The cottage is very well located, only a few hundred metres from the centre of Bourton on the Water. Bourton offers many tourist attractions, shops and restaurants. It is an all year round destination and its pretty high street with the river and many stone bridges is know as the Venice of the Cotswolds.
The cottage offers 2 bedrooms, which sleep 4 people. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, the other has an ensuite shower room with a large 1500 shower. ( The bedrooms do have sloping ceilings in places )
Downstairs is open plan with a well equipped kitchen area with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Sitting area, with comfortable seating and French doors to the patio. There is also a dining area.
Outside there is an enclosed garden with furniture and parasol along with parking for two cars.
Bed linen, towels and tea towels provided.
Gas and electricity are provided within your rental price.
Travel cot and highchair available - NO cot bedding provided.
Welcome tray on arrival.
Strictly no pets or smoking allowed at this property.

Fabulous location with parking. Short walk into the centre. Probably the best location we’ve had in the Cotswolds (visited many times). John was very responsive and helpful when we had a problem with the TV which was very much appreciated. The cottage was cosy and warm and well equipped. Our only criticism was the double bed wasn’t particularly comfortable which is a shame. Having two bathrooms with teen girls was a must! However, we would have really liked a shower attachment above the bath. We knew beforehand there wasn’t one but It really would make a big difference. Overall we had a wonderful stay in beautyful Bourton. Thank you!

Beautiful cottage on a quiet part of the street. We were only a few minutes walk to Main Street Bourton, a grocery store and bus stops. It was a perfect location with all the amenities you need for a home away from home. The host John was very responsive to our questions and extremely helpful. We stayed for 2 weeks and would definitely stay here again. The cottage was pristine inside and everything looked brand new.

The location couldn't be more perfect. It's about a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and 5 minutes away from a large grocery store. We really appreciated the 3 toilets and 2 ensuites. The bath was divine and skylights kept that fresh air flowing. The double bed was quite uncomfortable for the first few nights, but after we decided to flip it, we realized it was the wrong side up! Don't let that happen to you. What a great stay! We would absolutely return!

This was a fantastic stay. The house is really well equipped with everything needed for a holiday stay whether for a few days or longer.
The rooms are all very comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of cooking equipment and a large fridge and freezer. I really appreciate how simply furnished the property was with large windows making it light and airy.
The only slight issue was initially getting into the property, but everything was fine once in.
The property's location is excellent, away from the busyness of Bourton centre which was only 10 minutes walk away. It also has a large Co-op supermarket at the back of the property and it is in easy access of walkways into nature.
