Charming holiday location with swimming pool for 8 people located in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in the Vaucluse department, in Provence. You will stay in the countryside, about 2 km from the town centre.
You will be charmed by the town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, which is located at the foot of the Vaucluse plateau, in the Comtat Venaissin plain. The town centre is surrounded by several canals fed by the Sorgue, nicknamed "little Venice", not to be confused with the Sorgues in Aveyron. These canals were used to operate the paddle wheels to provide motive power to local factories.
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is one of the must-visit places in Provence. You can discover the "water sharing" point, 1 km upstream from the town. The river splits in two and forms a shaded water area to recharge. Nice comfortable house at the end of a residential area. 2 km from center, nice for bicycle tours. Nice welcome by Vincent, house was clean. Splendid weather, but problems with the pool, parasols broken or not functioning and pergola broken in the week before our arrival, so no shade at all on the terrace. Furthermore unstable toilet seats and dining chairs. Needs some attention on details.
