About this farm stay rental
Lower Farm is situated in the small village of Over Compton and is ideally situated for exploring the counties of Dorset and Somerset. This generous property built in 1665 and Grade II listed has retained its charm and character with extensive flagstone floors and two inglenook fireplaces with wood-burning stoves, and the styling is delightfully fresh and contemporary.
On the ground floor there is a sitting room, separate family games room/snug and a dining room, along with the farmhouse kitchen with a breakfast island and Aga. A cloakroom with laundry area and a large boot room complete the ground floor. Upstairs are five comfortable bedrooms, two with stylish en-suite shower rooms, and an attractive family bathroom. Outside, the house enjoys a front and rear, part-walled garden, with a sheltered dining terrace and a large lawn for family games.
Perfectly situated for trips to nearby Sherborne with its shops, restaurants, two castles and Abbey, or Yeovil with its theatre and nearby National Trust properties, Lower Farm is the ideal property for gathering friends and family together for fun and adventures.
