Fantastic hosts Melanie & Martin greeted us and showed us to our gorgeous room with bathrooms across a little landing… Melanie had kindly supplied us with oat milk too and gluten free biscuits which were much appreciated. A comfy and spacious bed with quality but soft cotton bedding… and proper squishy pillows… so slept really well on all three nights.
Melanie also cooked a wonderful gluten free full English for my husband and took great care about not contaminating any food as he’s a coeliac. Martins scrambled eggs were as magnificent as previous reviews had said they were but credit to Melanie’s delicious home made selection of amazing compotes to accompany the Greek yogurt.
We loved every minute of our stay at Ellesmere House . Such a warm and friendly home to stay in, full of personality, delightful and welcoming hosts and more importantly their beautiful dog Willow…. :) She made it a home away from home and loved lots of cuddles.
We would really look forward to staying with Melanie & Martin in the future when we visit family living in Castle Cary and you leave feeling you’ve made new friends.
Thank you both for a wonderful place to stay whilst busy DIYing at our daughter and fiancé’s new house during the day.
They are both a fountain of knowledge of local places to visit and eat at… which we will be able to use in the future.

The property was clean and tidy and had really nice nice touches. The view from the bedroom nice. Martin and Melanie were really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing!
The only minor thing was the thermostat on the shower may need looking at as it was either cold or super hot.
