We visited Orvieto in mid-November, and had the pleasure of staying at Casa Serafina. Fausto was communicative and helpful leading up to our arrival and at check-in- we were sorry that we did not speak Italian to be able to talk with him more easily. He directed us to the covered parking, which was very convenient, as we could just leave the car there rather than navigate the usual hill town streets. The apartment was wonderful- nicely decorated, clean, spacious, comfortable bed, quite usable kitchen- and convenient to the city center. Fausto left extensive information about the area and sights, as well as a nice bottle of wine. I am not sure why the questions about the vineyard come up in the VRBO review form- we did not see a vineyard. But we had a great stay. My husband commented on the excellent coffee in the apartment each day. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience Orvieto and enjoys exploration on foot. Orvieto was one of our favorite places on this trip through Umbria and Tuscany.

The apartment was very nicely appointed, Fausto was a gracious host, welcomed us, took his time showing us the amenities in the apartment and how to access the old part of the city. The gift basket was a solid score filled local artisan crafrs EVOO and a bottle of white wine. Higjtly recommend this accomodation for any traveler visiting this part.of Italy

Fausto was great & the place was really nice. It’s a hike into the village & the traffic is crazy!! I don’t think it’s the perfect location for seniors or children but a lovely stay none the less!

Thank you so much! My Hosts: Fausto e Rosaria were lovely, kind and very helpful. The 'Casa Serafina' provides a classic environment of ancient Orvieto period - as one can see in the photos. Each piece of orginal art and furniture has an amazing story to it. Like staying in a museum, also very homely. Easy access for car, and parking undercover directly underneath the Casa. I had no car, I came by train. I am so glad I did, as I went on many refreshing walks all around. The transport was excellent: a Funicular, local Buses every 20 mins, and the Train. And huge escalators automatic, just a short walk up the road, to take one to Orvieto old village - so easy. The kitchen in the Casa: well equipped. I purchased much local produce and enjoyed some excellent flavours. And save money, by cooking my main meal at the Casa. Also enjoyed meeting local people - so hospitable and friendly. A true Orvieto cultural experience, with character and charm. Is not a boring hotel. it's a home.
