The flat is nice and decorated to a high standard. Bed is comfortable and kitchen has everything you need.
While self contained with a private entrance, the annex is nestled inside/ under part of a large family home. Since there’s zero sound proofing you can hear everything going on in the main house. Most of the time, including late in the evening and early morning, there was someone stomping around right above the annex which didn’t subside even after we asked them to be more considerate. Despite paying a reasonable amount we felt like an unwelcome inconvenience.

The location was easy to find and park. Good central location. The property has been recently redone and looks lovely. All the amenities you could want inside and a beautiful garden with lovely hosts next door. Good WiFi and entertainment options on the tv. Plenty of space and no issues with the actual property or provisions.
Check in. There were several ID hopes to jump through to get the check in details, which took time and frankly were excessive for a small annexe in Maidenhead. You're unlikely to get unscrupulous types here it just felt like a few too many checks, particularly when I'm a local mum who needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while work was being done at home. I booked last minute and the checks were difficult to get through when trying to manage everything else. Most Airbnb properties in the UK and abroad don't have this level of check in process to be honest and some of the information and ID it required you to provide felt overly intrusive.
That is the only complaint however and not related to how nice the property is! Oh apart from the pillows are really hard. That's it though.
