La soffitta di Catterina

This apartment close to the centre of Vicenza is an absolute gem: well equipped, spacious and cozy, quiet, and nicely furnished. My host Matteo was especially helpful to provide me with nearby dining options, given that I arrived rather late. And the parking is indeed free (not always the case for apartments advertising to have a parking space) as the owner has a plot of land a few steps away from the house that can easily accommodate even several cars. Fantastic! The only dinension for which I would not give the maximum rating is the location as the apartment is not smack in the middle of the old town, but given the price-performance ratio this offer it is still undoubtedly excellent. And the walk to the old centre (no public transport needed!) is through a pleasant part of this elegant city: through Porta Santa Croce, along the pretty Chiesa di Santa Croce ai Carmini and the picturesque Corso Antonio Fogazzaro, and passing Chiesa di San Lorenzo. The couple of minutes walk are wholly rewarding. In any case I will try to stay here should I return to Vicenza!
