The property is located slightly uphill from the canal and port part of town, but only a ten minute walk to the restaurants and bars there, via a short foot tunnel under the rail, from Rue Barbes.
Although located on a somewhat busy street the property is situated at the back of number 14, and is exceptionally quiet and tranquil. There is parking right across the road in a free car park.
We were met at an unlocked gate by two big sweet friendly dogs who belonged to a neighbour. You then walk into a court yard and take the steps up to the apartment in the middle. There is the key box. There is a second flight of steps inside.
The apartment is spacious, clean and well equiped. You will find bed linen in a closet in the main bedroom (the bed was made up only with a bottom sheet, or mattress protector).
The bathroom is spacious and well equiped.
There were also many toys and a cot and a high chair for children 🧸
There is a bench to sit in the sun outside your entrance door.

Appartement spacieux, très bien équipé, très calme. Du point de vue ustensiles, il ne manque rien, comme indiqué sur la description du logement. Les lieux étaient propres.

Appartement conçu sous le toit, dans les combles. Pas de vue sur l'extérieur. Éclairage naturel uniquement par 3 petits velux, dont 2 dans la grande pièce comprenant cuisine, salle à manger, salon et 1 velux dans la chambre à coucher N° 1. La chambre N° 2 est borne avec juste une fenêtre amovible rectangulaire à env. 1.70 du sol communicant entre les 2 chambres.
Pour accéder à l'appartement il y a un long escalier extérieur qui mème à l'entrée de l'appartement, ensuite pour accéder aux chambres il faut emprunter un long escalier raide en bois avec des marches assez étroites. Les personnes de petites tailles, 160 cm et moins ont besoin d'escabeaux pour accéder aux velux pour aérer. Il faut être bien mobile pour monter les escaliers avec des bagages depuis le parking qui se trouve de l'autre côté de la route.

Le calme et l'espace. L'appartement est très bien équipé, très propre. Et parfait avec des enfants, tout est pensé pour eux !
