The host had good communication with us. Was very helpful even with tips on how to get around. She also gave us contact details of the most amazing gentleman to help with taxi services.
1.-There is an awful smell that comes out of the bathroom😭. Not sure where the problem is, it could be plumbing or the drainage system. The smell is horrible & if you are like me and get easily affected by smells, then the stay will not be enjoyable. I could not sleep for the two nights i spent there.
2.-The bedding is not really good. The sheets were worn out, although very clean.
3-The apartment was very very cold! On our 2nd night we messaged the host asking for the heating to be turned up, however i think it was turned up for less than an hour and we were freezing. There was only one quilt/duvet for each bed so we were very very cold. Had to put layers of clothes on.
4-The walls are very thin. We had the top apartment and we could hear everything that was going on around.
5-I think the front door needs to be locked. If the owner could put a key on the front door then give each apartment a set i think that will help. It did not feel very safe having the front door unlocked and accessible to anyone. Although the flats/apartment doors have got locks, the setup does not feel safe at al especially if you have young children.
6-The hosts asks if you can do your dishes, however the setup is very unhygienic. You have to do the dishes in the bathroom and there is no sink in the kitchen/living area. I find this disgusting and very unhygienic. On the day we left, we could not do the dishes as the bathroom sink was not letting out any hot water at all, meaning we had to do the dishes in the shower as thats where we could only get hot water, so we did not end up doing the dishes.
Overall, the biggest issue is with the smell that comes out of the bathroom and fills up the whole apartment. It is quite unbearable and i think the host needs to fix this problem as soon as possible!
The guy who gave us taxi services made our stay worthwhile though. He was very amazing, very kind, respectful and full of cheer! Thank you so much Melvin😊.
