The fact that us was so central to everything main town 15min walk to train station . It was just room only . But just a 2 min walk took you on to mill road which had cafe's which are small indepent shops . Small chain brand shops sainsburys and the coop . Pubs and resturants at hand on mill road . A 15 min walk into the main town across the main common . Shirlene the host was happy for me to come and go through out the day. As it was a key fob entry into the building . Very clean outside area in front of building . Room was large and had a fridge mircowave . Dishes cutley host provided tea coffee .sugar milk . Although next to train track I slept like a log and didnt hear them . Had a wee balconey where you could sit out .
The only downside that i can think of is the window was a fixed panel so if you like an open window. Which i prefer but there was a fan in the room.which i used. You shared a bathroom with the host and another guest. Didnt put me if though it was just like staying with family

The room is only a short walk from the station in a quiet residential area. The bed is large and comfy and the room has tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom is shared with 1-2 others but well kept and no issues. The host is very welcoming and the room is great value for Cambridge.

Near the station, perfect if you're leaving early in the morning. Cute pubs and restaurant nearby. Trains aren't a problem for sleeping, the room is well isolated.
A bit far from the center (about 40 minutes by walk) but with a bike or a bus it's not a problem. Also if you need to take a train early in the morning, you don't need to wake up 2 hrs before, in 10 minutes you are at the station.

Comfy room for 1-2 people for a short stay. Shirlene was kind and helpful, she made sure if everything was alright. The noise from the train was insignificant at all.
