We liked the central location of the property. The flat is great if you are planning on visiting the city centre. Close the roads for easy access to other routes outside the city. Generally, the flat had the basics of what you needed such as hairdryers, well-equipped kitchen, free streaming service on the television. The host was very responsive to emails/calls. The keys were easy to get upon arrival, but we had issues when returning the keys. This delayed our onward journey by about 30 minutes.
The main issue I had with the property was I felt the 'free' parking was exaggerated. I was asked to provide my car registration number so that I could be issued a parking permit to allow me to park on the street for free. The photos on the website show ample parking. However, these must have been taken right after the property opened and are not a true representation. We arrived after 8pm to find all the spots were taken. The host advised us to look around for a spot on another street ( keep in mind we were unfamiliar with area) and were tired after a long journey. There were no spots available. I had to park on double yellow lines to unload our luggage ( my parents are elderly and have mobility issues so this was not convenient). We booked the property because of the promise of free parking outside the unit. I was unable to find a spot and was told to park in a paid parking lot at a cost of 4.50 per 12 hours. The host said that because it was the weekend the spots were taken and to peek my head out in the morning to see if any spots were free. Unfortunately, whilst the flat is in an okay-ish area, the paid parking was not. I had to walk alone ( I'm female) through an area that was not safe. The start of the work week did not improve the parking situation. I was only able to park outside the flat, for free, once during our entire stay.
Other minor issues were free toiletries ( looked like things people had left behind on previous visits); dirty dishes left in the sink when we arrived; severe dirt build up where the hardwood floors met the carpet; beds extremely uncomfortable ( nothing a good quality mattress cover wouldn't fix) and the sofa in the living room was like sitting on a rock. In the evenings, we moved one of the duvets onto the sofa in an attempt to make it more comfortable. The host should invest in slat blinds for privacy-the roller blinds offer no privacy in a ground floor flat.

Good central location, clean and all modern amenities and nicely maintained facilities aswell as good kitchen utensils for cooking and nice bathroom with an additional en-suite shower in the main bedroom. Excellent host who was very welcoming and helpful went out of his way to ensure a comfortable stay and also was very helpful and more than reasonable upon check out when my partner overslept and checked out later than she was meant to.
