The apartment was clean and conveniently located, a few minutes walk from Troon metro and within 10 minutes walk of the Royal Palace/Bozar area. The area felt very safe.
Facilities were basic but adequate - the shower worked well and the kitchen was equipped with pans, crockery and food preparation utensils. We didn't use the oven, but a couple of baking dishes were supplied. There is a Lidl supermarket just down the road.
Check-in and checkout were easy: there is a keypad to get into the building and a lockbox outside the apartment.
As other reviewers mentioned, there is no cutlery at all! We had read the reviews and brought our own, but that would be hard if arriving by air. It is ridiculous not to provide utensils to eat the food cooked using the kitchen equipment. I removed one star for this.
Also, the apartment is on the fifth floor (small lift to fourth floor). This was fine for us, but might not suit everyone.
