Kotare Cottage

This is a beautiful little property. It was lovely sitting outside on the deck. The view in the distance of water and the hills is stunning.

Unfortunately the ranch door leading to the deck is a height hazard if you are tall, as my husband and I are. There should be a caution sticker. There are no railings on the decking and this is also a hazard and easily rectified. Lastly there is no shower caddy, meaning you have to lean down to the floor of the shower to access shower gel etc. Again easily rectified. If these 3 things were fixed, this would be a perfect property in Raglan.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need. Well equipped kitchen, great views, clean, fresh and welcoming. The spa pool was also super. Everything is tasteful and fresh, in a way that makes you feel at home. Would have loved to stay longer!

Location to town and comfortable beds. hot tub was lovely!

Sharing the bathroom with another couple was a little awkward. But we coped. Outdoor furniture was a little dirty so we needed to clean it before using it.

The house was homey and made us feel as if we were home. It was also self-contained and the hosts provided all the basics which was convenient given that we had travelled quite a fair bit. The layout of the house was well-thought through and each room was well equipped. The spa provided a good way to round the day after attending conference.

Some areas of the house including some of the bedding and towels could have benefited from a more thorough clean.
