Great location, very nice and special stay. Only 15-20 minutes walking distance to the center. The boat is very clean, plenty of hot water and staff was very prompt in answering my questions. I do reccomend coming in the daylight. It can be little tricky to come at night-luggage vise and parking vise.
I love the fact it is pet friendly.
Everything was great, this is just a note for people whom never slept on a boat. It's narrow and small, I find it romantic and cosy but bigger people could have problems with entering the boat and beds and shower. For me it was perfect and a bit extraordinary. I do reccomend. Ideal for 2 people max, but a family of 4 can also be accomodated easily.
It is quiet, mornings and evenings are quite beautiful.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to be on a canal boat, this is perfect! The owner picked me up from central station on his boat and took me straight to the house boat which was a fun start to the stay.
The pictures are exactly how it looks, really fun thing to do!

This was a truly wonderful, ideal stay in Amsterdam. It gave me a great unique feeling of being a part of the city, with such a unique aspect of staying on the water. Hearing the other small boats drift by was so calming and tranquil, couldn’t ask for anything better. It’s not a heavily tourist dominated canal because it’s on the outskirts and larger canal, not the typical ‘narrow’ canals that circle the city center… but this gives a much better, quieter and more peaceful setting, more of a local feeling. I preferred that.
So much space on this boat, and the bed, bedding and pillows are more comfortable than a fancy hotel. Heater in the room was great but didn’t need it, even though was extremely cold outside.
Location is ideal. I rented a bike across the canal (10 minute walk, which the host promptly and kindly assisted me with advice upon arrival), and this boat location puts you a 2 minute bike ride right into Jordaan and then anywhere in the city and, in my opinion, some of the best areas of Amsterdam are within 5 minute bike ride. So ideal, because returning to the boat feels like a reset into the calm and quiet.
Couldn’t ask for anything better. Coffee machine, good shower, everything to cook with off you want… really great. Loved having my coffee on the deck of the boat as the city wakes up. Highly suggest you stay here, I will definitely return and choose this over a hotel or other Airbnb any day.
Thanks to the host for being so attentive and kind, these kinds of things make the stay feel so much better and welcoming as well, like I’m a friend visiting their boat and not some random tourist they are getting money from - even though I am just some random tourist, it’s nice to feel like you’re not lol.
Couldn’t find the light to the main entrance area… however I didn’t ask the host, because light from the gallery and bedroom was enough. But given that the host responded to my other questions within minutes, I’m sure I could have solved it if I asked.
