This rooftop apartment in Neu-Ulm is a convenient, well-equipped self-catering option and a very good base for exploring the area. It’s ideally located — about 50 m from public transport (trams and buses), roughly 150 m from Neu-Ulm Train Station, and within easy walking distance of a medium-sized mall at the station. Travel to and from the apartment was effortless, and we felt safe walking everywhere, day or night.
The apartment itself is clean and well maintained. It’s a one-bedroom unit, with two additional single beds in the living area, making it practical for a small family. The kitchen is fully kitted out (fridge-freezer, cutlery, crockery, pots, dishwasher, etc.), and we appreciated the selection of coffee sachet-pods for the coffee machine. Towels were provided in sufficient quantity, and having a washing machine in the bathroom was a real plus.
A few points are worth noting. The outside of the complex looks a bit worn, but this belies the convenience and comfort inside — it really is a little hidden gem. Even though it is directly opposite an industrial area, this did not impact the peace and quiet we experienced. We also appreciated the nearby amenities: good restaurants and bakery/coffee shops are within easy walking distance, with plenty of choice.
Overall, a solid, practical stay with excellent convenience, good amenities, and a safe location. With a few straightforward improvements, it would be even better.
Keep in mind that this is a self-catering unit, and is not serviced.
On the slight downside, the bathroom extractor fan is dusty and very noisy, and should probably be replaced. We also had an issue with the electronic door lock on day 3, and it was somewhat challenging to contact the owner via Booking.com — the response was slow. In the end, calling the listed number for the apartment landlord worked well: the operator contacted the owner on our behalf, and the problem was sorted quickly.
One of the stranger anomalies is that none of the windows have shutters — only roller blinds. This meant neighbours had an almost full view into both sleeping areas, and outside lights also shone onto the beds at night.

Ambiente nuovo, letti comodi, cucina attrezzata. Curato nei dettagli. Asciugamani e lenzuola nuovi. Host gentile anche se contattata solo via email e in tedesco.

Kodlåset till lägenheten fungerade uselt. Vi hade kunnat bli utlåsta. Skickade fråga till värden men fick inte svar på frågan. Tog då kontakt med Booking som kontaktade värden och därefter löste det sig. Men vi fick ingen ursäkt vilket är självklart då det dyker upp problem.
