Garden View Apt in Ghent

The apartment was very centrally located. We could do our entire sightseeing by foot, which was great. The public garage was about 3 minutes by foot from the apartment. I can't say anything about the staff, outside of the instruction messages through Booking, the entire experience was very automated and there was no personal contact with any staff. The place was spacious and creative designed. There was an elevator, which was helpful for bringing up our baggage and for our stroller.

The street was very loud, since there was a bar downstairs, and people were drinking and talking very loudly until at least 1 or 2 am. Other guests in other apartments were also very loud until all hours of the night and since it was an old building the soundproofing was accordingly poor. The beds, especially the pullout couch in the kitchen was pretty loud.

Good location and the apartment was spacious and clean, and the sofa bed comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped.

No door to the bedroom, very hard bed and pillows and the air con in the bedroom is very noisy. I hardly slept for the two nights we were there. Bathroom could do with some repairs to the sink and a door handle.

Communication with the host and getting in the apartment was very easy. The bed and sofa were comfortable (for 4 adults), in the kitchen everything necessary was there. They brought us more bath articles the following day we asked for it. Things you should know (that we didn't mind): no door between the bedroom and kitchen with sleeping sofa, no lock on the bathroom door.

The only thing that wasn't nice was the smell in the bathroom.
