Large, beautiful house "La Batterie". 4 km from the centre of Port-en-Bessin, 4 km from the centre of Bayeux, 1 km from the sea. Private: property 900 m2 (fenced), beautiful terraced garden with wildlife garden and flowers, meadow, courtyard. In the house: storage room for bicycles. Parking (for 3 cars) on the premises. Shop 100 m, supermarket 4 km, bus stop "Manvieux Mairie" 3 km, sandy beach 4 km pebble beach 1 km.

Beautiful and stylish furnishings: living/dining room with open-hearth fireplace (only for decoration), dining table, satellite TV, radio, CD-player and DVD. Exit to the garden. The Gite and it’s location in Normandy is excellent. I cannot speak highly enough about the owner who went out of his way to help us. The place is really homely. Many many thanks Pierre and inter chalet. Will deffo book again.

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing week's holiday in this charming cottage.
The owners were very welcoming and friendly, and the cottage is really lovely!
Large and spacious, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The rooms have a lot of character, with ornaments and traditional French bits and pieces everywhere. Gorgeous houseplants too!
The kitchen is the central part of the house, with a large table for leisurely meals, and everything you need to prepare them.
My only small criticism here is that all the cupboards are full of crockery, pans, utensils etc, and we could have done with a couple left empty to put our foodstuffs in.
Nice large fridge/freezer though.
So maybe a few less ornaments and a little more storage room.
A beautiful old stone staircase leads to the bedrooms, which are very spacious and comfortable, with nice firm beds and huge traditional wardrobes.
The showers are clean and powerful.
The main attraction is a really beautiful large garden, with loads of lovely flowers, trees and shrubs,
interesting decorations, a lovely covered seating area with table, outdoor large table and chairs set, brick barbeque and sun loungers. Really natural and pretty, and so well maintained by the owners.
Also plenty of parking at the gravelled front, with another table and chairs in this suntrap, and a gate for privacy.
We felt very welcomed by the owners, who were next door if we needed them, but gave us full privacy.
We would definitely recommend, and return!

Sehr nette Vermieter mit einem tollen Garten und sehr gut ausgestattet. Zur Begrüßung gab's Konfitüre und wurden zu einem Aperitif mit Snacks eingeladen. Waren hilfsbereit und stets ansprechbar. Haben uns 2 Wochen sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Unsere beiden Hunde fühlten sich auch wohl. Gerne immer wieder.
