We really enjoyed our stay. Was able to have ample parking and even friend brought their motorhome and stayed in the lot. Location is great for people watching on the porch. Everything worked as intended. Hot tub was hot and clean!

What a great little find, right on the beach, right next to town, and so much charm and quirk! We love our stay, from the fenced backyard, to the hot tub, to the comfortable living space. Yeah, its small, but it was built over a 100 years ago, so of course its going to be a little more cozy than a more modern house. Thats actually one of the things our family loved about it! We will for sure be coming back and staying that this house, it had everything!

Not very impressed with this place. It was one of the more affordable places on the beach walk, but we ultimately realized that we would have been better off staying a block or more in from the beach to have a nicer, cleaner, and more well cared for place, for similar money, versus what we received staying here. We did want a hot tub, which this place had, but it was really gross. First, the tub was in an offseason mode, so the temp was really low. One would think that if the management company knows guests are coming, they would place the hot tub into an active mode, ready to use. We had to google the instructions for the controller to activate the hot tub. Not the first thing you want to do when you are getting settled in on vacation. Second, the hot tub was truly and genuinely disgusting. They provide measured cups of chemicals to add to the water after each use, but it was apparent that the management company viewed this as a way to circumvent actually changing the water (at least seasonally), or cleaning it. The water had to have been over a year old. It was yellowish and smelled like dirty socks. Also, there was no shortage of sand and rocks inside to further validate the neglect. Jets also did not work.
The beds were ok, we were really hoping to find a place with a king bed, but we found that it nearly didn't exist. The room near the back of the house is right off the road (just be prepared for excessive noise), and that entire section of the house slopes down significantly. It is bad enough that it is a bit scary. The kitchen had most of the utensils and things that we needed. The sofa in the front room is amazing, we wanted to take it with us.
Access to the basement was provided for laundry. The basement is not only a disaster, but a serious safety hazard, completely loaded with junk that should probably be hauled to the dump. It was so bad that we found a huge rat dead in a trap that looks like it was forgotten in the trap for at least a year, if not years. We have photos to prove it.
If you literally want a place to rest your head and don't care about anything else, this place might be great for you. Just understand that there is nothing fancy about it, and I don't think their standards for sanitization or cleaning is a priority, and it is clear. The place is run down enough that I would question if the owners have been there in years, because I can't imagine they wouldn't expect more. This place would be better off being demoed and rebuilt.
