During the reservation I was not aware that this will be one of my best holiday, partly because of this accomodation. If you are looking for a completely new, fancy accomodation with brand new equippments, skip this, it's not for you. If you are offended by some broken hinges, dull knives in the kitchen or something like that, again: skip it. Otherwise keep reading.
The village: Kostanjica is small enough to avoid crowd and noise. The locals are friendly people, for example when we lost a key, half of the village was on the mission to find it.
The host, Anjuska: she is the perfect host, who with I was able to discuss online all the details way before our arrival. She managed to provide mooring spot on the sea for my boat, she was also there when we had the typical tourist questions like 'What do you recommend...?', 'Where should I buy....?' and so on. Additionally to her availabilty and helpfulness on one day she brought a large pot of boiled mussels, which was - of course - delicious. So she was alway there when we needed and had a few good words to us as well.
About the accomodation: it is located in the second row from the sea, its straight street leads directly to the beach. The building provides great sea view from both stairs. Since both stairs have roof, you can enjoy the view almost all day long in shade - so we did. We literally spent hours with sitting on the terraces and watched the smaller boats and bigger ships crossing the sea in front of us. The accomodation has two bathrooms, one at every stairs, so it is convinient for a larger family as well. The bedrooms (two of the are cooled with A/C) offer spectacular view to the sea. The kitchen has almost everything you need during your stay. Parking lot is available in front of the building.
About the beach: small, family friendly and during the day it always has some shade if you want to hide yourself from the sun. And it is about 50 meters from the house! Really enjoyed it.
It's just our (and maybe other lazy tourists') preference, but a microwave oven and a capsule coffe machine should be added to the kitchen. Really nothing else.
