Agatha is located on the 1st floor of a historic building in the heart of Oltrarno, one of Florence’s most authentic neighbourhoods, full of artisan shops, restaurants and local atmosphere. It is ideal for families or groups and can accommodate up to 6 guests, with 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
No lift/elevator (there are 15 steps to climb). Just a short walk from Piazza Santo Spirito, Piazza del Carmine, Pitti Palace and the Ponte Vecchio.
The public bus service in Florence is provided by "Ataf".
The nearest bus stop to the house is on Piazza Nazario Sauro about 5 minutes walking distance, and the bus n° is 11 or C4.

The apartment is located in the Oltrarno district in Florence’s historic city centre. The name “Oltrarno” literally means “beyond the Arno” and this neighborhood which stretches along the south bank of the river represents a different facet of Florence than that of the area near the Duomo. The Oltrarno perhaps displays the true character of Florence and in general is slightly quieter, greener, and more relaxed than the other districts of Florence. Indeed many tourists tend to choose the Oltrarno for this reason. Traditionally an artisans’ quarter, the Oltrarno still boasts today many lovely antique shops and artisans’ studios (in particular furniture and leather-workers) and Via Maggio remains the focus of Florence’s thriving antique trade.
Over time the Oltrarno became a rather chic area and many aristocrats chose this neighbourhood to build their villas and palaces, the largest of these being the Pitti Palace, which became the home of the various Grand Dukes. Today this sumptuous palace houses several important museums which rank amongst the best in Florence. Other major sights the Oltrarno has to offer are the Cappella Brancacci with its fabulous frescoes, Piazzale Michelangelo with its breath-taking views over Florence, the magnificent church of San Miniato, (one of the highest points in the city of Florence and also one of the best examples of Romanesque architecture in Tuscany) together with the most famous and oldest bridge in Florence, the Ponte Vecchio, home to a glittering array of jewellery shops and goldsmiths.
Extending up the hill from the Pitti Palace are the formal Boboli Gardens, an outdoor museum of garden sculpture that includes Roman antiquities as well as 16th and 17th century works. The Oltrarno is famous for its wine bars such as Olio & Convivium, authentic trattorias serving typical Tuscan cuisine, including Il Santo Bevitore, I 4 Leoni, and Il Magazzino, not to mention the wonderful fresh produce market held every morning in Piazza Santo Spirito. For those choosing an apartment in this area the Oltrarno quarter also offers a variety of grocery stores, pastry shops, bakeries, gift shops, and much more.
Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a “limited traffic zone” and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red/green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact a private garage. Thanks to the private garage you will obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify they need access for the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.

Agatha is a charming 100 sqm apartment all on one level, perfect for families or groups of friends looking to stay in the heart of Oltrarno, one of Florence’s most authentic and atmospheric neighbourhoods, full of restaurants, artisan shops and local services.
The apartment accommodates up to 6 guests and features 3 double bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with shower. It is beautifully furnished in an 19th-century style, with exposed wooden ceiling beams and traditional terracotta floors, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere.
The living area is spacious and well arranged, and includes:
A dining area with a table for 6
A cosy lounge with a sofa
A modern, fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, fridge and freezer)
Each bedroom comes with a TV, and air conditioning is available in the bedrooms and dining area.
Please note: smoking and pets are not allowed.
The following might be to be paid extra: Babycot, Bed Linen and Towels (additional set), Extra Cleaning, High chair, Late Arrival, Late Arrival (after 23:00), Late Departure, Refundable Security Deposit by credit card, Tourist tax.

location was very good. Apartment size had of room for 4 ladies .Need a few more towels. But we wash want we hadNote… washing machines does not spin dry. We had to ring out cloths then hang up. Other wise all good.

The property has everything you need!!! Two BIG bathrooms…..washer……big fridge…stove, etc. The mattresses on the beds were the MOST comfortable mattresses we slept on in our 9days of traveling and even better yet, they have an air conditioner in every room!!!!!!!!!! There were 6 adults and there was plenty of room for all!! Also as a side note, a tv in each bedroom……as far as location we loved it as it is a very short walk to the river, to Ponte Vecchio Bridge And Pitti Palace…..all major sites are within 20min walk I’d say….we loved it and would definitely rebook if we ever head back to Florence!!

It's very convenient appartment for a larger group. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms! Wonderfull! It was very clean. and the check-in and check-out procedure was very easy. The only minor detail, were the chairs around the table; they didn't sit well ;-)
But I would surely recommend this appartment!
