CAPSULE INN VALENCIA HOSTEL

Best option if you are traveling on a budget! The location of the hostel is the best ever, near everything. I could walk everywhere. It’s near metro stations and several bus stops. There are 2 big supermarkets nearby (Mercadona is only 2 blocks away). There are several restaurants and bar options around. The area feels super safe to walk around at any time as well. The capsule was fresh and very clean, everything was working fine. The shared bathroom was constantly being cleaned by staff, as well as the kitchen. Everything was fresh and clean all the time. There are lockers at no extra cost. They do not provide towels for free, you have to pay €3 for a towel or bring your own. There are no amenities (shampoo or conditioner). There is a soap dispenser in the showers (I used it to wash my body and hair as well, and brought my own conditioner). Bring your own travel kit or buy travel sizes at Normal (it’s super cheap). The kitchen has silverware, cups, glasses, and plates (all very clean and well maintained). There is a microwave, a kettle, a fridge, and a dining area with tables and chairs for guests. I’ve seen some comments online about noise. Well, it’s a hostel at the end of the day, people coming and going. For me, it was not an issue, but if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The capsules are made out of a thick plastic material; they are not soundproof. Regular bunk bed hostels would also have the same noise in the dorms, or even worse, but with zero privacy. The greatest point about the capsules is that you have total privacy inside your capsule. The door locks and can be accessed by a key card only. There is AC inside, and you can control the airflow and the lights (including colorful lights, it gives a nice futuristic vibe). The mattress is thin but surprisingly comfortable. The showers have a timer, so you need to press to turn the water on again every 1 minute (they could improve this). But in general, the temperature and pressure were great. The staff are always very friendly. I really enjoyed the experience. If you are traveling on a budget I would definitely recommend this hostel. Greatest points: location, cleanliness, privacy. Additional tip: the peruvian restaurant nearby (Lima y carbon) is amazing.

The hotel is pretty small, I have been in other capsule hotels in the past and for the price we have paid of 110 euro per night, it wasn't absolutely worth it. I won't suggest you to go there if not for the half of the price. The capsule itself doesn't even have the TV in it or a mirror. The bathrooms are only three for each gender. Shower rooms were done in a way people cannot fit in it to wash themselves. One washbasin was broken and, since there are no other mirrors, you have to push people away to wash your hands/teeth a while they were hair brushing or doing their makeup. The lockers are in a tight corridor so you literally have to jump on people to pass by and they are tiny so most of the luggage won't fit causing the camerade rooms to be overcrowded of pieces of luggage in every free spot available. The kitchen is a small area in the lobby and all the tables in the corridor are not even lit so you eat in the darkness. It was super clean and in a good location, friendly staff.
