the lodge has a rustic charm to it. it's clean and spacious. I was surprised that there was nobody on site. I wish that was stated explicitly upfront and not sent as a btw note via email. I arrived on the day of tsunami warning and had to rush to the lodge, worrying that my room keys might be gone. that evening some people were knocking on the empty lobby looking for staff and accommodations
