    From the moment I arrived at The Kinney, I knew this wasn’t going to feel like just another hotel check-in. The front desk gentleman was incredibly friendly and genuinely caring—you could feel that his warmth wasn’t scripted. It immediately set the tone for the entire stay and reflected the authentic, thoughtful culture The Kinney has clearly put into hiring their team. That same intention is woven throughout the hotel’s design. The spaces feel curated with heart—from hammocks perfect for unwinding, to sleek marble ping pong tables that add a playful, communal vibe. There’s even a cozy, family-friendly area centered around a fireplace, which becomes especially magical when the temperature drops at night. It feels like a place designed not just to stay, but to be. The room itself was pure joy. The fun, comic-themed design added personality without feeling overdone, and the two affirmations pinned to the bathroom wall instantly put a smile on my face—such a small but meaningful touch. The pillow-top bed was incredibly comfortable and helped me sink into a deep, restorative sleep almost immediately. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the location. My daily walks were a straight, scenic 25-minute stroll to the Venice Beach Pier, perfectly timed to catch the sunset—an absolute highlight and a reminder of why this area is so special. I truly couldn’t recommend The Kinney enough. If you’re looking for a hotel with soul, thoughtful design, and people who genuinely care, this is the place. You’ve got to check it out.

    Great place near LAX to relax. Just took a Uber here, stored our luggage then walked to the Butcher's Daughter for lunch, down to Venice Beach boardwalk, Waymo back, walked 5 min to Pho MDR Noodles for dinner.

    The rooms were really spacious.. that was the best thing! The decor was fun and retro beach style. The location was very close to Venice beach. The staff were great! I would recommend it.

    Great spot near Venice beach and Santa Monica. Easy to walk around/hire bikes, but like most of LA is sprawled so prices of Ubers adds up.
