Villino Gelsomino, con Giardino a Soli 100 Metri Dalla Spiaggia

First of all I'd like to thank Marco and Giovanna for their hospitality! Thank you so much for your kindness, attention and help. Our dear hosts met us to explain all details about the house and the area and prepared for us welcome set (local fruits and homemade wine), that was very unexpected and pleasant. Few words about location and villa itself: the house is located between San Felice Circeo and Terracina, very quiet area with a lots of other houses and campings.The house is not big but it's very well equipped and has all necessary to feel yourself like home for me, my husband and our daughter. It was advantage that there was outside summer shower to wash out the beach sand. The kitchen was very comfortable to cook: pans, plates, glasses and cutlery was provided. Also we had plenty of towels and bed linen for change. As to the beach it was really about 150 meters away and it took us 2 minutes by walk to reach it. The beach was sandy and probably because of September it was a little bit littered and has no shower, but lots of African people that wanted to sell everything. Although they were not very importunate. The entrance to the sea was sloping and very comfortable for our child. I should say that Marco supplied us everything for the beach (chairs, umbrella, beach toys for child, etc) so we had no need to worry about. On the evenings we used to prepare BBQ (the set was also provided by hosts) with fresh sea fish and sea food that is possible to buy in the nearest pescheria (fish market) that was situated in 2 km away. As to the entertainments they were few. We find a small park in SF Circeo with carousels on the first week but the next week it was already closed. To find good restaurants you should better visit SF Circeo or Terracina. There were couple of them nearby but we didn't visit them. For food you'd better visit hypermarkets Lidl or Coop in Terracina or MD on the way to Terracina. But if you want to buy just water and bread it is OK to visit SISA (local supermarket 5-7 minutes by walk on the left of the lane). But it seemed that the goods were more expensive there. The car is not only recommended, but I should say necessary. Thanks to it we managed to visit SF Circeo and its Faro,Sabaudia,Terracina,Sperlonga, Itri, Gaeta and many other things. To visit Rome we used train. I would recommend this place and this house to everyone who prefers to change lazy days to active travel during vacation.

"My family (2-4 adults and a 3-year old kid) had very pleasant vacations (September 2013) in this house just in two-minute walk from the beach in the quite neighborhood. The house is clean and nice, equipped with all your need to live like at home. Bedrooms are small but well-furnished. The kitchen is spacious with lots of tableware of various size mostly in very good condition. I would prefer to have an electric oven as I am not get used to the gas-fired one and all my three attempts to make a simple pie failed, but this might be my personal limitation. With regards to washing machine (there was a vicious testimonial where it was mentioned): something wrong with its front door and it took a while to learn how to close it properly but when closed the machine works and works well. It is very convenient to have two bathrooms with the one located outside the house – you are able to take a shower after the beach and not to bring sand inside the house. The terrace (large and finely decorated) and backyard (small but green - thanks to automatic watering system in place - and well-planned) are also big pluses. We did not buy any toy or special home stuff for the child as we found everything we needed and more on site! Hosts are really friendly and very helpful – they tried their best to address all the questions/requests promptly and were very flexible. Few notes on the house vicinity: - For people sensitive to mosquitoes – there were lots of them in September and we had to use repellents with strong smell to enjoy dinner at the terrace; - You hear your neighbors very well as if we all live in the one apartment building; - In this season all the local beaches were public; the neatest private beach was in 2 km as minimum. So, those who wanted to enjoy really clean beach and all amenities of the private beach would go their by car or by bicycle. To be honest the only thing that made me unhappy during this holiday was the condition of the nearest public beach – it was more littered that I expected especially during the season. "Our family had a rest in this house in the summer of 2012. The house description on a site completely represents the facts. It is very cozy house, equipped with all necessary for comfortable life. From 4 adults and two children it was very convenient to our family. Especially it would be desirable to note a fine terrace and very green and well-groomed territory near the house. The house is located in walking few minutes from the sea with a huge sandy beach, with a flat entrance in the sea that is convenient for children and crystal-clear water. Not the smaller attention is deserved by the hosts who were very lovely and friendly people who hospitably accepted us in the house, is very attentive and sympathetic treated all our requests, and also with pleasure gave advice about life and travel in this region."

"This is very nice house near the sundy beach. I spent three wonderful weeks here with my family. The house is very cosy and we felt here like home. There are a suppermarket and a fish shop in the area where you can buy all of you need. Also there is a tennis club in a walk distance. If you stay here you will want to come back.
