We traveled from North Carolina and stayed here for 4 nights at the end of September. We absolutely loved it. The check-in was easy as we were greeted in the evening with the host and given a home tour and how to operate the gate to park our car. The home was two floors and looked just like the photos. The location is perfect and had the most beautiful view from the balconies. The home is well equipped for cooking, a short walk to restaurants, or quick drive to grocery store, or visit places in nearby towns.It was too cold to use the pool but lovely viewing deck. No hot tub as mentioned in the description. We recommend doing a boat tour and using the nearby ferries to view other towns of Lake Como.

Cinzia is a great host, the house is well equipped with a kitchen you don’t have to buy the basic stock for, just replace if you use up something.The small pool is nice, the road noise is disturbing, especially the revving motorcycles, but we knew we were going to be next to a busy road. A tunnel around Colonno is being build but that could take a lot of years for completion. There is airconditioning in all the rooms.The parking space is not accessible for bigger cars, but street parking costs only 5 euro per day.

This apartment is all you in Lake Como! Breath taking views, a private pool and a short drive to several towns. The apartment was just as listed, very clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed are stay! Cinzia was so kind while checking us in and attentive to all questions and concerns.

The view is amazing and the building is really nice. Both clear 5 stars. But the reason for a lower rating are a few important things to be aware of.
1) the house is fronting the main road with a high load of traffic 24 hours a day. This is a bit annoying and disturbs the fantastic view. In addition it makes it difficult to sleep with open windows during the night and it gets hot at Como during the summer. No aircon either.
2) The town Colonno is probably one of the least interesting cities around the lake. If you want to stay on this side I would go for Lenno, Menaggio or perhaps Argegno. A lot of other opportunities are also better than Colonno.
Maybe it's not fair to remove 2 stars but this is important facts before you rent the house.
We had a great vacation and Tiziano and his cousin was really nice and helpful. If you don't bother about the traffic noise and accepts that nothing really happens in Colonno then you should definitely give this rental a go. But don't get surprised as we did.
