Proximity to tram and groceries; fun neighbourhood and apartment was also quiet; nice balcony; clean; everything worked in the kitchen; free laundry (English instructions would help)
Appliance instructions for North Americans would be helpful; couch not very comfortable; main bedroom needs a second heavy curtain to block out the streetlight; second bedroom’s bed and couch were very small.

Very good communications either way host both before and during stay. Great location with many grocery stores, cafes, playgrounds etc within a 10 minute walk. The apartment was comfortable and spacious enough for our family (2 adults and 2 young kids) and a crib and high chair were provided for our baby.

We stayed in this apartment during a short visit to Zurich. The location is excellent—situated in a lively part of the city with easy access to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. The apartment is quiet, and the beds are comfortable. Bedroom fans were effective and quiet, and the host, Tonino, was responsive and easy to reach.
The apartment is minimally equipped. Each guest was provided with one medium-sized bath towel and one hand towel with no extras available. In the kitchen, there was only one washcloth, one dish towel, and one well worn sponge.
The towels developed a noticeable mildew odor after a single use and likely need to be replaced or, at a minimum, run through a sanitizing cycle. The kitchen was also understocked, lacking enough basic dishes for food prep and missing so many common items like aluminum foil, cling wrap, and basic seasonings. There were 2 empty bottles of oil, 3 mystery spices or seasonings in unmarked bags, and that’s about it. Upon arrival, there was a significant fruit fly issue in the kitchen. We addressed this ourselves by cleaning and setting out traps.
In summer, duvets are way too warm, and there were no top sheets or additional bedding available. We ended up removing the duvet and using the duvet covers as lightweight blankets, which worked due to the relatively mild temperatures during our stay.
The living room sofa is quite small and not comfortable for group seating. With three people, we needed to bring in dining chairs to sit together. The bathroom lighting is especially inadequate. It consists only of a dim fluorescent light embedded in the mirror. It is not suitable for tasks such as shaving or applying makeup, and there is no overhead or alternative lighting source in the bathroom. The only outlet for a hair appliance is behind the mirror. The fabric shower curtain also needs replaced.
This apartment has solid potential due to its location and quiet setting, but it currently falls short in terms of comfort and amenities. With some basic upgrades, it could offer a much better experience for guests. Given the rate (just over $1000 USD for 2 nights), we expected a few more basic amenities and better comfort in the living spaces.
