The house has a lot of character and is very spacious, with 4 double bedrooms and a huge open living / dining / kitchen area. The kitchen is very well equipped and there were a lot of accessories and herbs, oil, ... There is also a magnificent pool with views over the bay and a spacious garden area with multiple seating areas. The hosts were very welcoming, with the owner even making us some home made lasagna on arrival and also filling in the fridge with drinks and a few things to eat (bread, ham, cheese, wine, lemon liqueur, ...). One thing to note is that the house is set about 80ms back from a busy road so there can be some road noise at times. In terms of things to do, we would recommend hiking in Samaria Gorge as well as visiting Chania and the Agia Triada Monastry. Just to mention one restaurant we particularlyl liked in Chania was Faka. All in all, we strongly recommend this place.

The place was fabulous! The pool area is even better than the photos. Amazing amount of room and the pool was massive. We enjoy most days sitting in the lounge chairs under the umbrella staring at the beautiful view. Barbara was lovely, kind and even made us homemade moussaka for when we arrive as well as Greek spinach roles for when we left. We were a group of 8 and there was plenty of room, the kitchen was modern and clean and each bedroom had a tv and air con. It was honestly the best air bnb I have ever stayed at. Really recommend to families and group of friends alike. Would absolutely stay again in a heart beat.

הגענו לנופש של 10 ימים, משפחה בת 7 נפשות. קבלת הפנים של בעלת הבית הייתה חמה ונעימה למרות השעה המאוחרת שהגענו לוילה.
הוילה נקייה ומאובזרת עד לפרטים הקטנים. בריכה גדולה ונוף מדהים. החדרים גדולים, מרווחים ונקיים. כ10 דקות נסיעה מחאניה, במיקום שקט ונעים.
בעלת הוילה זמינה בכל זמן השהות.
נהננו מכל רגע.

We are a family of six who spends every summer in Crete. Our top priority is finding a spacious home with a pool, situated in a peaceful area with beautiful surroundings. Villa Barbara exceeded our expectations in every way – from the ample space and lovely garden to the pool, location, and cleanliness. Mrs. Barbara, the host, was exceptional and incredibly welcoming. She even brought us homemade lunch three times during our stay. We’ll definitely be returning, and we highly recommend this villa.
