The Kitchen, the oven, the dishwasher and the good frying pans. The size of the apartment and the fact that almost all bedrooms had a balkon. The window in the bathroom. The location.
The check-in process and the lack of trust. Although we paid upfront, we got the check-in information just a couple of hours before arrival. One day before would have been nice. If my phone had died or not have a connection, we wouldn't be able to enter. The code we got for the safe with the key was wrong. And after a drive of 800km, matters like these are very annoying.
Inside, we didn't feel welcome. Everything was unplugged, and we had to connect all the electronics ourselves. Except in the kitchen. All the instructions, like for the Wi-Fi for example (which didn't work the whole week), were written in a commanding, threading ton. And incomplete! We didn't know where to throw the garbage, even after asking.
But most disturbing was the shower head (see pictures) not working properly and the lack of interest of fixing it after telling the owner. I had to take it off. Replacing it with a new one, would have cost probably around 20 EUR. But he chose to simply put it back. Also the WIFI was the cheapest he probably could buy, which I don't mind if it works. But It didn't!!! And none of us (we were 5 people) could connect and had to use our own phones as hotspots during the whole stay. There is also a construction-side right beside the house, where work starts every morning at 8 am. But this not the owner's fault. But mentioning it before arriving would have been nice.
And be aware that, if you deal with heart problems, you could face an impossible task to go up to the apartment, as the house is located uphill. And you have to walk at least 100m up to reach the main entrance. (See picture).
Also the wardrobe inside the main bedroom smells old and all the doors in the apartment squish very loud when they get open and closed. Which at 3 in the morning makes a difference if you go to the bathroom.
