Huis over de dijk

Zeer nette en smaakvol ingerichte woning en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook de tuin was heerlijk om in te verblijven. De twee honden waren erg lief en grappig.

Wunderschönes, stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtetes Häuschen. Alles war tiptop sauber, das Häuschen mit allem, was man braucht gut ausgestattet und jedesmal ein Genuss, in die Ruhe hinter dem Deich eintauchen zu können. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Tagsüber hört man je nach Windrichtung und bei geöffneten Fenstern die Flugzeuge recht laut, aber für uns war das nicht weiter störend und nachts war Ruhe.

A great place to stay that is off the beaten path, yet has easy access to the main roadways. The check in was easy as the host met us when we arrived and gave us a tour. The parking was plentiful and we could see the car from the apartment. The security was good as you have to cross a canal to access the place. You enter on the lower floor into the living room and kitchen. The sofa and TV are nice and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we need to cook and eat here. The area downstairs was nice and open. The upstairs was a little tight with the nice queen bed, but there were still 2 side tables with plugs. There are automatic shades and 2 nice windows to open, which helped cool things down. The bedding was very nice and we even changed to the “summer” bedding to cool down; which was very nice with it being a little warm. The bathroom was nice, clean and spacious and the shower was great. The surroundings are nice as you can see water, ducks, sheep and all kinds of wildlife. It was just very relaxing. The washer and dryer here are a nice bonus. Staying here a week, they really came in handy. I highly recommend a stay here, especially if you want a great, out-of-the-way place that is still close to a lot of activities.

There were a couple downsides. It got a little warm and there were no windows to open downstairs. The stairs are a bit scary for us 60 year olds. They are steep and a little slick, but we did expect that to some extent.
