We met up as a group of friends. The house was absolutely perfect for us. It was located in a lovely village and you could take a walk along the river…..it really was beautiful. We even walked back from Cambridge on one day.
The house itself was excellent. The sofa was very firm, which was absolutely perfect for me, but may not be for others. I personally found it extremely comfortable.
The kitchen was great. We did cook a meal and it had everything we needed. It also had lots of plates, crockery and glasses, which is a nice change from some places. It has a huge fridge and freezer…..and a dishwasher. It also has a utility area with washing machine etc.
The table and chairs were fabulous and so comfy. It is all open plan downstairs, which we loved.
There is a downstairs toilet…..perfect. There are four fabulous bedrooms, one of which is an en-suite, and a bathroom upstairs too. The bedrooms were absolutely beautiful with stunning furnishings. I slept in the en-suite bedroom and it was extremely comfortable. All of us slept well with no nearby noise.
From booking this property, the communication was excellent. They gave full instructions on location and lots of other information. Before check-in I was sent the door code, which was such a great idea as we didn’t need to look after a key. If I sent a message it was replied to instantly. I honestly cannot fault the hosts at all.
Overall, we had such an amazing stay in a great house. You won’t be disappointed!!
The only thing I would say, although it didn’t really impact us……is that the house sleeps up to ten people I believe, as there is also a sofa bed downstairs. So if you had the full capacity, then I definitely don’t think the lounge area would be suitable. Some would most definitely have to sit on the table chairs as the sofa would not fit ten people. There were five of us, and one of us sat on a chair, as it was a squeeze on the sofa.
There is another large seating area (which matches the sofa), but it doesn’t have a back on it, so it wouldn’t be suitable for everyone.
Don’t let this put you off though. As a smaller group or family, this place will be absolutely perfect.
