Chic Penthouse Grand-Place

The location and charm of the place was amazing. Our room looked directly down on the Grand Place which had people coming and going all day and late into the night but noise was no issue. We loved being able to take in the view from our window.

The staff was very disappointing. I reached out multiple times prior to arrival to finalize check in processes and get information. Did not even have a clear address. Luckily from the description and pictures I was able to get to the right building but could not find the door. Just before our check in I received detailed instructions to find the place and get the keys. We had to leave our bags with part of our group and walk almost a mile to their office, access a lock box and get our key. No staff present. We had a group of 5 adults and only had 2 towels in the apartment. The bathroom sink did not drain. After several attempts to reach staff, we got a reply of “please send videos of sink and check all drawers for towels, we will send someone out.” We had to go purchase our own towels. This was all on day one of a 3 night stay. We had no other responses to our multiple attempts on different sources , email, text, and what’s app. On our last day we got some automated messages about checkout and finally a message from staff saying “sorry the cleaning staff did not leave enough towels and a repeat of check out processes. Despite the amazing location, I would hesitate to recommend staying here risking the lack of attention from staff.

Location was amazing and hosts were great with key pick up instructions, it was a 10 minute walk from the property and we were able to pick up some more towels while there. Check out was really simple and easy, again great hosts and an incredible property and location. Would def stay there again.

Loved the location!!! How many people can say they have stayed in a guild house right in the middle of Grand-Place?! Flat was as expected, generally clean, beds comfy, didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped.

Paid for early check-in…the process was confusing because I was given instructions to ring a doorbell and ask the cleaners to let us in. The cleaners had already left, so I had to retrieve the keys from another location while my friends guarded the luggage. By the time I finally received the instructions to get the keys and returned to the flat, paying for early check-in was pointless. Asked for a refund, still haven’t seen it…after communicating that I had made it into the flat, I asked some additional questions and got zero response. For a company that prides itself on being helpful and like a concierge service, the lack of follow-up was disappointing. When I asked about check out processes, they finally texted me back. The wifi wasn’t working (despite our attempts to troubleshoot) and there were only two bath towels but we had three adults in our party, so one of us ended up using a hand towel. The handles/hardware on the doors need to be looked at, the bathroom door didn’t fully close.
