Quirky Homestay Cottage, 2 Bedrooms can be booked separately - with Guest Lounge 8 mins from Holmfirth

Absolutely beautiful. The hamlet is set away from hustle and bustle making it a peaceful spot. Our room was a great size and yes quirky the decor was magical we loved it. The host Deborah was so welcoming and friendly, also a note for resident cat Mr Hendricks who also welcomed us, all homes should have one. This was a one night stay, we will be back for a longer stay as soon as we can. Thank you so much Ian & Jan Lewington

Comfortable, cosy and just what was required. Beautiful location and close enougb to Holmfirth for the gig we wanted to go to. The taxis we booked were no hassle to find us and we were close to some really nice loacl pubs.

Not the fault of the owener but the nearest train station didn't run trains o n Saturday back to a main hub station. This meant more taxis than we envisaged at first. But again, nothing to do with the venue.

It was very convenient to where we lived and in a lovely hamlet. The owner was pleasant.

I booked the place for my niece and nephew who were visiting. The description on Booking.com implied it was a Quirky Weavers Cottage, indeed that is the title of it and indeed this feedback. The pictures implied it was as 1 up 1 down with a place to sit outside. It should have said a ROOM in a weavers cottage as it actually was. When we got contact from the owner that was when we found out it was just a room, but it was then too late to look for somewhere else. Indeed they were only going to be sleeping in it anyway and it was very close to where we lived, so convenient. I know the hamlet so found it easy enough. However when we walking in first impressions were not good. It look unclean. There was breakfast dishes on the table which is the first room you enter. The stairs had things on them to be taken up I presume and were unclean. We went up to the room. The bedding had not been ironed - it looked like someone had already slept in the bed. The room was dusty. As I had booked it for them, I felt very disappointed.
