Millrace Cottage

Lovely little cottage on the river Holme, beautifully restored & furnished, immaculately clean & stocked with everything we needed plus some nice little extra touches like fresh bread & milk when we arrived, logs & kindling for the log burner, bathrobes in the bathroom. Kate was so helpful with her recommendations for the area & kept us well informed about our arrival process & parking. Lovely shortish (20 min) walk mostly along the river into Holmfirth or slightly longer walks heading up Holme valley & around the reservoirs. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony over the river listening to the water & birds singing.

Great little cottage, super cozy with the fire place, well stocked kitchen and easy access to the Peak District. Great communication with Kate who was very helpful providing ideas for the area.

It was cosy, clean, we loved the fire and it was a nice touch to have the milk, bread and jam. The host was really helpful with recommendations for places to visit and eat in the local area. Thank you.

The cottage had such a cosy feel. It was extremely clean and the hosts went to the trouble of leaving us extra amenities like fresh bread and butter. Had everything you need for a country side stay. Loved that it was located next to the river and waterfall. The location was perfect for walks around the reservoir and to the local pub for dinner & drinks. The cottage had wood provided for the fire and a TV with Netflix, Iplayer etc. then bed was really comfy, and the host was super welcoming and helpful, even going to the extent of helping us find nice walks and places to eat in the evening. Thanks for a lovely stay!
