About this chalet rental
Located at an altitude of 1500 m, facing south and overlooking the Rhône valley, this 66 m2 chalet with private garden sleeps 5. The chalet is a 10-minute walk from the car park and has no neighbours, guaranteeing peace and quiet and a feeling of being alone in the world.
The region lends itself particularly well to outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, climbing, canyoning, road biking and more. The thermal baths of Leukerbad and Brigerbad are also nearby.
The chalet comprises a living room with access to a large balcony, a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with 2 single bunk beds and a small attic bedroom with 1 single bed, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The chalet has free wifi.
Bed linen is provided and included in the price, but not towels, which must be brought by the tenant.
The chalet must be left clean and tidy. If this is not the case, a cleaning fee will be deducted from the deposit.
Jeizinen is a small, typical Valais village, with no cars (car park at the entrance to the village) and maximum sunshine. Located in the commune of Gampel, Jeizinen is a well-known spot for hiking, mountain biking and paragliding. A cable car links the plain (Gampel) to Jeizinen. The chalet is ideally situated for visiting the Valais, whether the Lötchental, the Val d'Anivier, Zermatt, the Glacier d'Aletch, the numerous bisses or the ski resorts. Jeizinen has a small ski resort that is a member of the Magic Pass.

We left the cottage early because of a health issue with a family member, but the pros and cons of the chalet were clear by then. The assets are that the location is absolutely stunning, with lots of exciting things to do in the beautiful area, from hikes to pop festivals. The con is that the description of the chalet should be clearer: a family of 5 with older children literally doesn't fit as the second bedroom with 2 bunk beds is small (6 m2) and the attic with the fifth bed has a sloping ceiling of max 150 cm high. In reality, the chalet is a fantastic spot for a holiday with a family of 3 and maybe 4 if the children are smaller; a space of <2.20m high is not a room. The description should be adjusted accordingly, the chalet has 2 bedrooms with 4 beds in them.
