We stayed here for our skiing holiday in Chatel and long story short: we had a wonderful time and the place is an excellent place to stay. Access to the property seemed a little adventurous at first - short hike up the mountain from the parking spot - but was not a problem at all.
Then the place itself, we loved it. It was comfortable, clean, cosy, spacious, well fitted out. It has everything a family (two families in our case) needs for a great stay. The views are great, we cooked at home, made a fire outside in the evening, we barbecued - it was a relatively warm winter this year - and slept well.
In the morning it pays to be up early to make sure you are in Chatel in time for parking but even on the day we were a little late this wasn't a huge issue. There are a great baker and butcher in Abondance on the way to and from the slopes.
The reception and help from Alex was excellent. He helped us bring our luggage to and from the property. In the winter be sure to have winter tires and be prepared to chain up. Since you're in the alps this should not come as a surprise :-)
