Frankly the most beautiful villa I have ever stayed in. I cannot rate Karen (host) and the housekeeping team at Mount Vernon highly enough. This is so much more beautiful in real life that any photo could match. Everything is styled like an interiors magazine. If I could give it more than 5* I would. We are lucky to travel the world and stay in the most exclusive resorts and this villa has outclassed any property I’ve stayed in. We paid a little extra to have the housekeeper prepare our group breakfast each morning and this was so delicious, I’d highly recommend it. There was also so many outdoor and seating areas and a games room.
I would reccomend booking a driver for your stay or self drive rather than Ubers. The property is securely gated and a little tricky to let people in and out (for good reason). The host will recommend firms.

The house was amazing, the atmosphere, the warmth, Karen truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The chef made our dinner at he first evening (braai), it was all wonderful.
The rooms, the garden, the sense of safety...it was simply like a dream. A big thank to Karen and the lovely staff for making such a special and unforgettable experience.

Mount Vernon manor exceeded our expectations. We were an extended family group from SA and UK and this was the perfect place to get together for a weekend before Christmas.
The house itself is stunning- beautiful decor throughout, well equippped , large bedrooms,
Staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
