I stayed at this homestay just outside Dublin and had a mixed experience overall. The host was kind and welcoming, and communication was easy, which I really appreciated as a solo traveler. The fridge was in his Mom's downstairs apartment, and as I left at 6am did not feel comfortable accessing her space to collect my food. The room itself was quite small and fairly basic, but it served its purpose for a short stay. The home was generally quiet and in a convenient location for getting in and out of the city. That said, I did feel a bit uneasy at times as a solo female traveler. I heard some unusual electronic-type sounds coming from the bathroom area, which made me uncomfortable and affected my sense of privacy during the stay. I’m not sure what it was, but it did leave me feeling a little on edge. Overall, it was an average stay with a very kind host, but the comfort level and sense of ease were not quite what I had hoped for.

I'm not sure I had clean sheets and unusual electronic-type sounds in the bathroom fan.
