The views are beautiful. The property is as described. The area is safe and peaceful and closer to iconic cape town tourist attractions.

The 79 steep steps from parking level to the apartment - a bit tricky with suitcases!

The location was very good - quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful view of both the seaside and the mountains. The apartment itself had everything that a tourist would need and the bed was very comfortable. Communication with the hosts was clear, and they were responsive at all times.
One downside is that there are many, many stairs to reach the accommodation. This could be challenging for anyone with walking difficulties or health issues. The host kindly arranged for someone to help us carry our luggage upstairs upon arrival, which we appreciated. However, on the day of check-out, we had to carry the luggage down ourselves, and it was quite difficult.
We also found cockroaches in the apartment, which was disappointing and definitely needs to be addressed.
Additionally, there was no proper ventilation in the bathroom, so moisture and odors tended to stay inside.
The property also has a pool area, but unfortunately it was very dirty during our stay.

Location, views, large balcony, modern decor.
Pool unacceptable. Balcony light never worked during our stay (5 nights). We reported this but not repaired.
I querried the pool being in use on arrival and was told it's clean water. There was too much debris in it, no filters or pumps in use and looked filthy. The bath plug didn't work so after being out all day in 40'c with a filthy pool, attempted a cool bath but the water kept draining away. ( I notice this was previously reported).
Insufficient checks begore arrival- no bottle opener. Our kettle was unsafe as didn't switch off. The latter 2 are minor but more things we had to call the manager Charmaine to resolve.
After constant requests about the pool is was finally acceptable on our last day!!!. I messaged the owners ( who live on site) with my issues and was totally ignored by them. They have also not responded to booking.com customer service with my complaint issues.
The apartment is a wow, but also extremely disappointing that we couldn't use the pool daily.
These apartments are great for 1-2 nights as you may not have time to use the pool but don't stay or stay longer if a pool is important. It's described as the main feature, yet it was not in use. The room notes says the pool is kept covered and can be uncovered if needed. The cover was not on at our arrival and never went on.
Whilst Charmaine responded promptly our 2 main issues were not resolved.
