We came to the area to visit family and enjoyed the historic farmhouse. The place had everything we needed. We enjoyed all of the farm animals and country setting. It was very comfortable and relaxing. We definitely would stay again.

I’m afraid to review this awesome property because I want it available when I need it! This was our second stay here for 8 nights. It is the right amount of rustic, modern, cozy and vintage.
Must love animals. You will hear the geese
and experience other animals during your stay. It is a fully functional no kill animal refuge and and caretaker Richard and his wife are frequently around to answer questions. We now know how to scare aware massive Eagles looking for a duck lunch.
The beds are comfy, the linens soft and the entire house is exceptionally clean. Great location minutes from Hwy 5 and cute downtown Ferndale.

The animals were great. There was an area with blackberries that they allowed us to pick from. The kids had a blast.

I fully enjoyed my week at this location. I finally found a place in the Bellingham area that I would love to rent again. It was truly delightful, and my 3 year old grandson loved feeding the chickens. Richard, the property manager, could not have been more helpful And he even gave us extra animal food… We fed chickens, ducks, and donkeys. The house couldn’t be more charming with one exception. The living room could use some warm touches. But this is a very small critique. The living room is comfortable and has everything that is needed. This is a fabulous rental property and I highly recommend it. Wonderful house, wonderful setting, and wonderful service.
