Situated on a very busy road leading out of Rhodes Town, this large town house provides a great home from home for your holiday. Less than a 5 minute walk to St Francis Gate, it is the perfect location for exploring the Old Town. If you fancy getting away from the town, a bus stop is opposite the property from where you can catch buses to Kalithea and Lindos.
There are plenty of great places to eat a stone’s throw from the house. The Corner Cafe just into the Old Town is great for breakfast. Ο Γιάννης located at Poseidonos 130, Rodos 851 00, makes excellent traditional dishes for you to try at the few tables outside, or you can collect them and and bring them back home to enjoy on the superb roof terrace. Some of our other favourite restaurants for lunch or dinner, serving excellent food at reasonable prices, included Ouzokamomata, a short bus or taxi ride away in Kalithea, which serves an excellent Greek Meze and at Thomas and Nimmos in the Old Town.
The house itself is great, very clean and fabulously equipped with everything you will need. Mid holiday cleaning was a nice touch, refreshing the place after our half way point. A big thank you to Stefanos and his other staff colleagues, for keeping us well informed with all necessary information from booking confirmation to arrival details. Thanks to Maria, the owner, for the thoughtful and very useful welcome pack she provided for our use when we arrived after a long journey from the UK. A special thank you to Panos, our friendly welcome host, who went out of his way to personalise our stay and provided us with invaluable recommendations.
When we return to Rhodes we will definitely use San Fransisco maizonette again and would recommend it to you without hesitation.

The wi-fi was a little intermittent at times. This was no problem for our stay, but if your holiday requires fast, strong and reliable internet access then this may be something to consider.

This was the perfect apartment for our group of 6. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals, and the welcome food and wine was a wonderful touch. The location could not be better - less than a block from the entrance to the old city. The clothes washer was much appreciated as well. We enjoyed our time on the rooftop patio. Highly recommend!
This wasn’t a problem for our group but note that the apartment has lots of stairs - one level to enter and two more in the home. Probably not the best choice for someone with mobility issues.
