Convento San Bartolomeo - Piscina Esterna Riscaldata

We came here for our honeymoon and it was the most special hotel stay we have had - the venue is incredible, all of the restorations have been completed so tastefully and not only do you get to stay in place with hundreds of years of history, but you are also surrounded by the most amazing gardens, pool and jacuzzi (with incredible views over the hills), amazing breakfast each morning (including cooked/savoury through to pastries and home made cakes), the option to dine in a truly historic dining hall each evening (food also amazing) and a beautiful bar (highly recommend viewing the underground cellar as well). We have stayed in nice hotels but what made this experience so special was the people - most notably Valerio who shared amazing stories as well as historic information and tips for the surrounding areas (some incredible places). He even helped us with contacting some local places to make bookings. We are very sad to leave but hope to return one day soon! So much fun to chat and learn about the region and history of the Convento. Thank you for making our honeymoon very special!!!

The property itself is wonderful, full of history, with absolutely spectacular views from the heated pool area. However, the service was inconsistent. While some staff members were genuinely attentive and caring, others came across as forgetful and rather passive, which made the overall experience feel somewhat lackluster.

I personally found the double bed a bit too small to sleep comfortably with a partner. Due to the property's higher altitude, the area tends to be cooler, which may be a disadvantage in spring, but an advantage during the hotter summer months.

I don't know where to start, everything about this place was exceptional. We were amazed by how beautiful, tastefully curated and cute it is. Every single detail is carefully thought out, our room was perfect, clean, with a magical view of Tuscany, and the staff were simply amazing. My regret is that I didn't get a chance to take daily tour of the place to know about its history, and that we didn't have more meals at its restaurant, it was the best dinner experience we had in Tuscany and we did try one Michelin star place.
