The staff was so welcoming and attentive! Well appointed room. All was great!

The staff was great. Sara was a dream to work with, as was Frederico and the team at the restaurant. Her ability to make things happen were so appreciated. I feel we came as customers and left with friendships in the making. I look forward to a future visit. I have already recommended to friends and associates My room (Castellano) was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was fantastic (with all the amenities, a large shower and spacious clawfoot tub.) The location next to the Fortezza was ideal. Of any hotel, it is closest to the most amount of restaurants, stores, grocery, enotecas, the encircling wall, the Fortezza, the small St Agostino nuseum, and the the city's several churches. It is located on the flatest ground in the city, which was nice to start and end walks, and there were several large parking lots close by Take advantage of the wine tasting at Tassi and the Fortezza and say hello to Nizario (at Tazzi winery) and Irald (sommelier at Enoteca la Fortezza)

Having to leave. We were there four nights without a car. It is not a big city and we literally walked 100% of the streets and alleys, logging 10,000 plus steps per day just walking and talking to people. I was building a memory of the physical place, so that I own it in my mind and can walk its streets again and again over time. I am a lousy tourist (my motto is 'Non sono venuto per vedere, sono venuto per essere'). I enjoyed Montalcino.

Great location, could park right next to the hotel in the car park. Next to a very cute fort and near to bars and restaurants. Hotel room is cute, well designed and has everything you need. Easy check in, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Will be back!
