We booked this accommodation around driving holiday with a 10 month old. We purposely picked places in towns that weren’t noteworthy with that local attractions but rather wait in between destinations. This accommodation was easy to book. It was comfortable enough. On face value, the price was reasonable. The cottage and surroundings were quite picturesque. The owner was super lovely.
While it is advertised as a apartment with an annex room, it is not advertised as having stairs to enter the property as well. One set of stairs that was steep and designed to keep our 10 month old in a central space would have been ideal. A subsequent set of stairs that he could tumble down was not. Not sure if there was a language barrier or if didn’t read information correctly however, we were charged €3/towel. There was no bathroom mat, no hand towel, no flannel. The expectation was that we also stripped the beds and cleaned up after ourselves (we always leave as found anyhow). This on top of the local tourist tax drove the price of the accommodation up and in our view outside of the cost bracket for what the accommodation was worth. It appeared to be recently refurbished which allowed it to appear relatively fresh. However, it was very dusty - particularly underneath furniture (see photos attached). The cutlery and crockery were dirty and I didn’t feel as positive as I would’ve hoped allowing my 10 month old to scoot around on the floor. I wouldn’t choose this accommodation again attributed to cost and upkeep.
