It was originally a Roman town founded in 49 B.C. to oppose the city of Marseille, which then dominated the region. Fréjus is the site with the largest French concentration of ancient remains after Arles.
There is also the François Léotard nature base (outdoor sports complex with many events in the summer).

Quiet area , nice house with a lot off space , vi enjøyed sitting on the terrace, grilling, the house had bicycles, a nice pool, tennis court, we like very much the beach in St.Aygulf, been hiking a lot nearby in Mas de l' Etang de Villepey and the Esterel mountains, visit the town Frejus, it is central on the Cotes d' Azur and short drive to Monaco or St.Tropez
